NOAA is a leader in scientific research and provides data, information and services to help protect lives, property, economic investments, and national security interests. As environmental hazards impact communities and businesses across our country, NOAA must address these challenges through a coordinated approach that taps into its collective knowledge and expertise.

NOAA is focused on six key mission areas to improve the development, accessibility, and use of its services, while also providing scalable and tailored information to partners and end-users. These mission areas are:
