Pilot program brings youth perspectives to highest levels of NOAA leadership

In July 2023, the inaugural cohort of the eeBLUE Young Changemakers Fellowship gathered for a three-day summit in Washington, DC. There, these nine high school students participated in hands-on workshops on environmental action and engaged in conversations with NOAA leaders, including NOAA Administrator Rick Spinrad, Ph.D. (right) and Special Advisor on Youth Engagement Lauren Gibson, Ph.D. (third from right). Through the Young Changemakers Fellowship, these students will have the opportunity to continue to influence decision-making at NOAA throughout the year. (Image credit: NOAA)
