On Tue., June 2, NOAA and the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis will announce findings from a new measure of the value of America’s marine economy, also known as our “blue economy.” For these statistics, experts considered ten sectors representing businesses dependent on the nation’s oceans, coasts and Great Lakes between the years 2014 and 2018. With the addition of new sectors and methods, these statistics are the most comprehensive and accurate produced to date.
