NOAA Weather Model Data (GEFS) in the Cloud!
As part of the NOAA Open Data Dissemination (NODD) user engagement series, NODD, NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS), and Google Cloud offsite link are hosting an Office Hours discussion on cloud access to NOAA’s data.
This virtual discussion will share information about the Global Ensemble Forecast System (GEFS) and open access via Google. The Office Hours concept is an engagement opportunity for users to connect with NOAA data experts, share experiences and case studies, and provide feedback to the NOAA Open Data Dissemination Engagement team.
Participants are invited to provide candid comments, raise questions, or share feedback on their use experience to the NODD Engagement team (email nodd@noaa.gov).
REGISTER offsite link for the event to participate and suggest topics of interest or questions you would like to have addressed during the Office Hours event.
Speakers
In collaboration with NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS) Office of Organizational Excellence, the speakers for this Office Hours include NWS’s Dr. Neil Barton and Yuejian Zhu, NODD’s Adrienne Simonson, and Google’s Antonio Lobato and Tyler Russell. Participants span from business and industry, government, and academia who are working at the crossroads of data science, cloud computing, and data access for its use in decision-making.
