Environmental Assessment for the Route 606 NOAA Easement

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) proposes to widen an existing five-mile stretch of Route 606, between Route 50 and Route 621, from two lanes to a four-lane median divided roadway. The widening of Route 606 would require 14 acres of permanent easement and xx acres of temporary easement from the NOAA property. The purpose of this assessment is to respond to VDOT’s easement request in a manner that is consistent with the operational needs of the WFO and SFSC.
