Draft Recovery Plan for the Giant Manta Ray (Mobula birostris) (ID484)

Description: The draft recovery plan incorporates the best available science on the giant manta ray to describe site-specific management actions necessary for the conservation and survival of the species (recovery actions), set objective, measurable criteria that, when met, will allow the species to be removed from the list of threatened and endangered species, and provide estimates of the time and funding required to achieve the plan's goals. Once finalized, the plan will be used to guide U.S. activities and to encourage international cooperation to promote the recovery of this endangered species.
