1. THIS TRANSMITS:
Revocation Notice for NOAA Administrative Order (NAO) 216-118 “Implementation of Regional Marine Plans Developed Under the National Ocean Policy,” dated December 15, 2016.
2. PURPOSE:
This Revocation Notice revokes NAO 216-118 “Implementation of Regional Marine Plans Developed Under the National Ocean Policy.” This NAO is no longer applicable because Executive Order (E.O) 13840 titled, “Ocean Policy to Advance the Economic, Security, and Environmental Interests of the United States,” dated June 19, 2018, revoked and replaced the National Ocean Policy, as set forth in E.O. 13547 titled, “Stewardship of the Ocean, Our Coasts, and the Great Lakes,” dated July 19, 2010.
The Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere signs because there is no delegation of authority for this NAO revocation.
